GreenStuff is an advanced, single-component resin-based sealant designed specifically for cabinet base sealing in telecom, LV distribution, traffic control, feeder pillar, and utility enclosures. Engineered for real-world conditions, it prevents moisture ingress, rodent or insect intrusion, root growth, and environmental contamination while remaining re-enterable for future maintenance.

Unlike standard two-part resins, GreenStuff is non-hazardous, neutral-curing, and safe to handle with minimal protective requirements. It flows naturally to fill gaps and voids, creating a robust seal that protects critical internal components from dust, humidity, pests, and gas ingress.

GreenStuff is also available in Virgin-approved kit versions and resin-only variants, giving you flexibility whether you need a full application kit or just the sealing compound.

Use GreenStuff to safeguard outdoor enclosures, whilst reducing long-term maintenance costs and improving reliability in harsh environments.

The nature of this product and the type of container used, when pouring the resin clings to the sides of the container, so there will always be some wastage, but if left to settle the resin falls from the sides and levels, which can then be re-used.

To use all the base sealant, it is possible to cut open the container, and scrape the container, to utilise all the product.

FAQs

What is GreenStuff used for?
GreenStuff is primarily used as a cabinet base sealant: sealing the base of outdoor telecom cabinets, feeder pillars, transformer enclosures, LV distribution boxes, street lighting control cabinets, traffic control cabinets, etc. It prevents ingress of water, pests, dust, gas, and roots.

Is GreenStuff hazardous?
No. GreenStuff is formulated to be free from harmful isocyanates, making it safer for installers and simpler in terms of health & safety protocols.

Can GreenStuff be used on damp surfaces?
Yes. GreenStuff is designed to bond to slightly damp substrates. It still performs in UK climate conditions where perfect dryness is not feasible.

Is GreenStuff re-enterable?
Yes. One of its key strengths is that it remains cuttable and removable for future access - making maintenance, additions, or reworks possible without destroying the seal.

How long can it remain open once opened?
Provided the container is properly resealed, GreenStuff can remain usable for up to 1 week for multi-day installations.

What is the difference between GreenStuff and RedStuff /
GreyStuff?
GreenStuff is a cabinet base resin sealant, distinct from the duct sealing compounds RedStuff and GreyStuff. While those are designed for sealing cables and ducts, GreenStuff is formulated for base sealing in cabinets and enclosures. The chemistry is tailored for flow, adhesion, re-entry, and durability in that context.

Can I get a Virgin-approved version?
Yes. A Virgin-approved variant is offered to meet network operator standards and compatibility requirements.

How long does GreenStuff take to fully cure?
Under favorable conditions, surface skin forms in a few hours. Full cure (internal depth) may take up to 20 days, depending on temperature, humidity, and volume.
