Full HoleMole demonstration
The core-hole filling sequence, from positioning to finishing.
HoleMole · Concrete repair systems
Meet HoleMole: the collapsible steel former that supports concrete core-hole repairs from the working level above the slab.
Lower the Mole, secure the stand and place your specified repair material. Reduce the need to board up the opening from the floor below.
For contractors, M&E teams and building maintenance projects.
A different way to make good
HoleMole creates a base beneath a concrete core hole. Its perimeter flaps fold to pass through the opening, then open beneath the slab. Pulling the rod upwards brings the former into position.
The galvanised-steel Mole remains beneath the completed repair.
The Mole Stand and SpeedNut hold the assembly while the repair material is placed.
Remove the reusable tools after the material reaches the required set.
The floor-slab method
A practical overview. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, site specification and repair-material requirements for the complete installation.
Measure and prepare the opening. Attach the threaded rod, pass the correctly sized Mole through the core and draw it back against the underside.
Position the stand, guide the rod into its slot and secure it with the SpeedNut. Include reinforcement where the project specification requires it.
Fit the Speed Chute, place the specified fill and finish the surface. Once the required set is reached, remove the tools and finish the rod as instructed.

Metric bands follow the UK catalogue’s rounded labels. Manufacturer ranges are specified in inches; confirm fit at range boundaries and ensure the Mole seats correctly against sound concrete. Moles are 16-gauge galvanised steel.

A few useful answers
Need help choosing a size or planning a project order? Share the opening dimensions and application with our team.
Speak to DuctSealHoleMole supports the filling of concrete core holes. A collapsible steel former passes through the opening and is drawn back against the underside, where it supports the selected repair material.
Measure the actual clear opening and compare it with the manufacturer’s opening range. Check seating and overlap, particularly at size boundaries. Share your measurements with us if you need help selecting a former.
Suitable vertical openings use the dedicated Wall Applicator and the manufacturer’s wall-installation method. Sizes #2–#5 have bendable positioning tabs. Confirm the substrate, fixings and repair material for the application.
The Mole and its rod are consumable parts of the repair. The stand, SpeedNut and chute are removed after the specified set, then cleaned and inspected for reuse.
No. Specify the repair grout, mortar or other compatible filling material separately to suit the concrete, opening and required project performance.
HoleMole is a forming and support component. It does not by itself establish fire resistance, structural capacity, gas tightness or water resistance. The completed repair must meet the relevant project specification using a suitable complete system.
